Cyprus has participated in 10 Paralympics:
In 1988, Cyprus participated in the Paralympic Games with six athletes: Nikos Nikolaidis in javelin, Giannakis Gavriel in the marathon, Stelios Aristotelous in road events, Sotiris Flourentzou in swimming, and Stavros Sideras and Andreas Stylianou in archery. Cyprus won a bronze medal in javelin with Nikos Nikolaidis and a 7th place finish with Sotiris Flourentzou in swimming. The Head of the delegation was Christakis Antoniou.
In 1992, Cyprus participated in the Paralympic Games with four athletes: Nikos Nikolaidis in javelin, Giannakis Gavriel in the marathon, Sotiris Flourentzou, and Martis Cafouris in swimming. Cyprus achieved a 5th place finish in javelin with Nikos Nikolaidis. The Head of the delegation was Christakis Antoniou.

In 2000, Cyprus participated in the Paralympic Games with four athletes: Giannakis Gavriel in the marathon, Andreas Potamitis and Sotiris Flourentzou in swimming, and Gloria Perikleous in shot put. The Head of the delegation was Christakis Antoniou.
In 2004, Cyprus participated in the Paralympic Games with five athletes: Giannakis Gavriel in the marathon, Karolina Pelenidriou, Michaela Spantioy, and Andreas Potamitis in swimming, and Georgia Giangoulla in archery.
In Athens, athlete Karolina Pelenidriou won the gold medal in the 100m breaststroke in the S13 swimming category. Andreas Potamitis secured 7th place in the 50m freestyle. Giannakis Gavriel finished in 30th place out of 38 participants in the marathon. Michaela Spantioy competed in the finals of the 100m backstroke but retired, and in the 50m freestyle, she finished 12th out of 14 athletes. Georgia Giangoulla competed in the WR2 category of archery, reaching the final of her event but was unable to approach her personal best, finishing in 16th place.

In 2008, Cyprus participated in the Paralympic Games with four athletes: Antonis Aresti in athletics, Evripides Georgiou in shooting, Andreas Potamitis in swimming, and Karolina Pelenidriou in swimming. In Beijing, Karolina Pelenidriou won the gold medal in the 100m breaststroke and also set a new World and Paralympic Record in the 100m breaststroke during the heats. She secured the bronze medal in the 200m individual medley, breaking her personal record in both the heats and final. She finished in 5th place in the 50m freestyle. Athlete Antonis Aresti won the silver medal in the 200m T46 category and also claimed the silver medal in the 400m T46 category. Evripides Georgiou finished in 13th place out of 34 athletes with excellent performances, achieving a total score of 560/600. Andreas Potamitis had a false start in the 100m freestyle but finished 5th in the heats of the 50m freestyle.
The Cyprus National Paralympic Committee (C.P.C.) participated with three athletes: Antonis Aresti in athletics, Evripides Georgiou in shooting, and Karolina Pelenidriou in swimming. Karolina Pelenidriou won the silver medal in the 100m breaststroke in the SB12 category. Athlete Antonis Aresti competed in the 100m, 200m, and 400m in the T46 category. He finished 4th in both the 200m and 400m events, while he did not qualify for the final in the 100m. In shooting, Evripides Georgiou, in the SH1 10m air pistol category, finished in 25th place out of 31 athletes with a score of 545 points.

The Cyprus National Paralympic Committee (C.P.C.) participated with two athletes: Karolina Pelenidriou in swimming and Antonis Aresti in athletics.
Karolina Pelenidriou competed in the 100m breaststroke in the SB12 category, where she finished in 4th place. Antonis Aresti competed in the 400m in the T46 category, where he also finished in 4th place, as well as in the 200m of the same category, where he secured 4th place once again.
Karolina Pelenidriou, in swimming (S11 category), won a bronze medal in the 50m freestyle with a European Record and a gold medal in the 100m breaststroke with a World Record in the same category. Maria Markou, in Para Powerlifting, finished in 7th place in the 67kg category. Antonis Aresti, in athletics (T47 category), competed in the 400m and secured 11th place.
At the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, Cyprus was represented by three athletes:
Karolina Pelenidriou: In the S11 category, she won a bronze medal in the 50m freestyle with a new European Record. In the 100m breaststroke of the same category, she won a gold medal with a new World Record. Maria Markou: In para powerlifting, she competed in the 67kg category and secured 7th place. Antonis Aresti: In athletics, in the T47 category, he competed in the 400m and finished in 11th place. The overall performance of the Cypriot delegation was remarkable, with Karolina Pelenidriou standing out by winning two medals and breaking records.
